Overview
The Training & Capacity Development Unit is responsible for building digital skills and strengthening the ICT capabilities of staff and students across Plateau State University. The unit organizes practical training, workshops, and capacity-building programs that help the university community effectively use technology for teaching, learning, administration, research, and everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Training & Workshops: Organizing practical training programs on relevant digital tools and technologies.
Staff Capacity Development: Improving the digital skills of academic and administrative staff.
Student Digital Skills: Providing students with essential computer, internet, and technology skills.
Software & Productivity Training: Training users on productivity, collaboration, and specialized software.
Digital Literacy: Promoting safe, effective, and responsible use of digital technologies.
Training Needs Assessment: Identifying ICT skill gaps and developing appropriate training programs.
Technical Skills Development: Supporting continuous learning and professional development for ICT personnel.
Orientation & Awareness: Providing technology orientation for new staff and students.
